DALLAS – December 14, 2017 – LEO Cyber Security, a cyber security advisory and operations firm, today announced Mike Makowka has joined as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Mike is a seasoned cyber security practitioner bringing a wealth of real world practical experience to LEO, leading and developing cybersecurity programs for Fortune 500 companies including most recently the top Cyber Security professional (de facto CISO) at Flowserve.

Mike specializes in green field environments, post breach restructuring, and cyber security program maturation. As a CISO/Director of IT Security or as a consultant he has worked with numerous CIO’s and CISO’s to develop security programs, conduct project management for security strategies, design/implement secure IT systems, develop incident response programs, and evaluate organization’s existing enterprise security postures and overall maturity.

Mike has a Master of Computer Science in Information Security and Assurance from George Mason University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
