DALLAS – Sept. 18, 2017 – Alignment and coordination between legal departments and security IT teams is a critical aspect of a successful security program. To inform and enlighten these professionals, LEO Cyber Security, a cyber security orchestration and advisory firm, will host two cyber law conferences in Tulsa, Oklahoma, November 8, and Oklahoma City on November 9. Attendees will hear from a panel of cyber security experts on a number of timely issues, experience the Dark Web, and review NASA’s Mission Control framework as a foundation for incident response.
“There is a significant gap when it comes to discussing, developing, coordinating, and executing an effective cyber security program,” said Seth Jaffe, General Counsel and VP of Incident Response at LEO, “Our events are designed to foster communication between attorneys in legal departments and their counterparts in information security and IT. The goal is to improve collaboration to be better prepared for cyber attacks.” LEO encourages all registrants to bring their counterpart, and a guest pass is available free of charge for that person.
Each of the six sessions will provide actionable information that can be immediately utilized by attendees. Examples include: sample legal provisions, lists of third-party guidance documents, and templates to develop an incident response program.
“Discussion amongst peers is a key element in the cyber security industry where the landscape changes virtually daily,” said Jaffe, “Attendees will have the plenty of time and opportunity to build relationships at the event that could prove to be beneficial when faced with building and executing cyber security programs.”

- Sandy Coats – former U.S. Attorney
- Tom Snyder – Crowe & Dunlavy
